I also had the same problem when trying to buy seeds! I eventually walked around the stall and stood directly behind the seller and then talked to them and managed to buy seeds.

You can also collect eggs from chickens if you shoot at them with the slingshot!

You get meat from popping a floating pig! Give them a gassy apple and aim, you should get three pork chops

I think it'd be problematic to have it start slow and then get quicker because you'd get used to the slower passing of time, but your idea is nice (I'm just impatient and hate long days ecc)

I actually think the length of the days is spot on, it may not be long enough for the first day when you're still learning everything it but it's fine for once you get the hang of things.

You can only buy the seeds to complete the task on a specific day (the same day during which your faher tells you to go buy seeds at the Green)! Otherwise you can buy them from the travelling...

Are you playing on the latest build? There should be two or three different ore rocks, two of them on the west side of the mine (one is a bit further down).
