First, thank you for sharing with us this design document. It's so cool to see how you work.
The gameplay is easy to understand, even if nothing can replace a gameplay session ;)
I have few little questions:
- If I want to run the best and most famous tavern, do I need more than one life?
- Can I improve my tavern? For example can I change the size of the room, add some tables?
- Can I improve the Crafting Station?
Unknown at this time.
Unlikely....but some customisations would be nice just not those.
Not in that sense, but there may be ways Mr Fairweather or your skills can help...
This looks so much fun and so highly detailed! It always seems that most jobs in video games are overly simple, I've rarely seen this much go into one. :)
Enjoyed the documents and the idea about the tavern! I really think that the daily business is important - i would love to do different tasks everyday. And the tavern could be a famous one - as you can pass it to your child (maybe your child can help you out if it's old enough?!).
Could there be a waiter/waitress skill that allows you to carry more beer to tables at a time?
Maybe a wide top hat to balance one on the head also?
I love the little decisions you can make like naming items, hiring entertainment, hiring/firing staff.
I know it’s a bit late to come with suggestions now, but would it be possible to have a dashing gentleman dancer as well? I love how detailed the brewing is as well as the job of barkeep, and that you can hire other people to help with the workload! As someone who brews mead for fun, is there a possibility to brew mead and sell in the pub as well?
