Heyah.
Imo it would be a good thing to make a seperate folder just for the Post, as it would make it easier to keep track of each issue. Thinking about the future :fisheye:

Yeah, been thinking about where their new home should be as well. My first thought was to just toss them into the Official News subforum. Alternatively, I could make a separate subforum just for The Post. My only concern with that is the forum will start getting a bit cluttered with a bunch of subforums (as I'll be adding even more subforums in the future for things like Kynseed Bug Reports and so on).
Thoughts?
Hey, Matt.THx for the reply. :)
Well, my first thought was to put this folder right next to the general discussion, so it's part of the Kynseed subforum. To me it seems the Post is more of just a "little" heads up on your progress, not a big announcement, which you probably also would post on Kickstarter, so "PixelCount-sub" maybe isn't the right place imo.
But I understand your concern regarding the increasing amount of subs though. Totally forgot about bug-reports, suggestions and stuff like that, heh. I just thought that the Post really deserves its own shiny place.
Hmm.
Often in forums I see this whole problem with having too many subforums.
The mods will obviously have to try to keep order and sort all the threads in the right subforums and at some point it will probably become too bland and rigorous with the moving and deleting of threads, which in my opinion really kills the vivacity of the forum.
I think this forum should be more of a lively place, and not necessarily a too strict and bland one. Also, I just kind of made a mountain out of a molehill but I think you get my point.
I, personally, don't want or need to many subforums and would be happy with the Post just staying where it is.
I think it's working for now and agree about it getting too clustered.
Yeah, I'm currently leaning towards going as light on the subforums as possible. Though I do like the idea of there being a single place to go to easily see the entire archive of PixelCount Posts, as I imagine it'll start to build up rather quickly week after week. Suppose there wouldn't be any harm in moving old editions of the PCP (heh) over to the Announcements subforum each week. Though at the same time I do like the imagery of a simple long list of PCP editions in chronological order, uninterrupted by other official announcements.
Hmmm...
